"Graveyard Shift" is a song apparently by Gurney[2] (artist name in-game "Unknown"), hidden within the game files of the first Guitar Hero video game. This song is one of two songs that can only be played with the use of a cheating device, such as Gameshark, Action Replay, Codebreaker, or Xploder.

Walkthrough[]

"Graveyard Shift" is under two minutes in length, so it shouldn't be too hard to pass the song if you have any experience with the later tiers of Guitar Hero.

Accessibility[]

These cheat codes for third-party cheating devices allows access to "Graveyard Shift" by replacing "Sail Your Ship" by Count Zero with it.[4]

Trivia[]

  • As the in-game artist is written as "Unknown" in the full game, it took 16 years after the release of Guitar Hero until the original artist was revealed. In 2007, Harmonix has apparently reported that an employee named Aaron is the author of this song[3][2] but a September 8, 2005 prototype build of Guitar Hero that was discovered 16 years later listed the in-game artist name as "Gurney".[2]
  • An artist name that was given to this song was "Windtunnel Syndrome". There is no information about this artist name but some sources used this artist name for the song.[5][6][7]
