"Lonely Is the Night" is a song by Billy Squier, featured in his 1981 album Don't Say No. The original version is much slower than the one in the game. The song first appeared in Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s, but as a cover version. The master recording of the song has been confirmed to appear in Guitar Hero 5, making it the first song to be used more than once in the main series.
