PlayStation 3 is a seventh generation home console released by Sony in November 11, 2006 in Japan, November 17, 2006 in North America, and March 23, 2007 in Europe and Australia. It is the direct successor to the PlayStation 2 and the predecessor to the PlayStation 4 and the competitor to the Xbox 360 and Wii.
