RockFest is a multiplayer game mode that is first introduced in Guitar Hero 5 that can be played from two players up to four players. It is a party game that includes many multiplayer game modes including Do-or-Die, Elimination, Momentum, Momentum+ (in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock), Perfectionist, Pro Face-Off, and Streakers for competition.

At the beginning, all players can select a song to play during RockFest. The selected songs are ordered at random. Before each song, two random multiplayer game modes are displayed and players vote for which game mode to play for the song they are currently playing.
