Texas Flood is a song by Stevie Ray Vaughan featured in Guitar Hero. It is considered one of the hardest songs to 5-star; the general unreliability of HOPOs in the original Guitar Hero almost forces the player to strum every note, making this chart an unforgiving combo breaker. It also has the infamous OSSoD - the Orange Star Stream of Death (at about 3:59 in the video) - they are triplet thirty-second notes, meaning 48 notes are packed into a measure (12 into a beat).
Texas Flood is one of a few songs that are debated to be the hardest to FC in GH1, alongside Bark At The Moon, Get Ready 2 Rokk, and Fire It Up. While those three songs are mostly hard because of one part, Texas Flood is consistently challenging - featuring a couple different solo pieces across the song that are crazy hard to hit. The most notable hard parts are 1:32 and 4:18 on video (the latter of which is a top 5 hardest solo in the game for sure, remember, all notes strummed), but there are plenty of less severe choke points to come across. Squeezes are not too tough but on a song this hard getting a good score at all is very impressive.
