"The Day That Never Comes" is the first single from Metallica's 2008 album Death Magnetic. It is said by some that it bears some resemblance to their song One because of its slow, soft beginning which builds up to the ending with fast tremolo picking riffs & solos.
|This song appears as a Master Track.|
The song begins very slowly and is laid back and easy for all instruments. The song becomes difficult for drums midway through the song with its liberal use of the bass pedal. A minute or so later, the guitar part has a very fast line of green notes. The solo is next, which consists of very difficult and very fast triplets. The bass and vocal parts are manageable throughout the song.
